Modak Recipe in Hindi | चावल के आटे के उकडीचे मोदक | Traditional Steamed Rice Modak | Asha And Anita

Modak Recipe: Preparation Time: 10 Minutes Cooking Time: 30 Minutes Serve: 16 Nos Ingredients: Rice Flour: One Bowl jaggery: 100 Gms Dry Grated Coconut: one small Bowl Desiccated coconut: 2TBSP Raisins: 2 TSP chopped Cardamom powder: ½ tsp Ghee: one tsp Salt: A pinch Saffron: 8-10 Strands (Soaked in one tsp Milk) Water: 2 Bowl
Steps: Heat A pan, add two bowl water to it.
Now once the water starts boiling, add a pinch of salt, half tsp ghee, one bowl rice flour.
Give it a quick mix, Turn off the flame. Cover with lid and leave for five minutes.
Heat a wok, add half tsp ghee. Roast the grated coconut and resins just for few seconds.
Add jaggery and cardamom powder
Stir continuously until jaggery melts and mix with coconut.
Add desiccated coconut. Mix well and turn off the flame.
Now take out rice flour on a big plate, knead a smooth dough. No need to add extra water.
Now grease the modak mold from inside. Put the dough into the mold, fill the coconut filling, and close the lower part with dough. Unmold the Modak.
Boil the water into the idly maker, place the cotton cloth on the steamer plate, and transfer the modak to it. Now place the plate inside the cooker and steam for 10 minutes
Turn off the flame and garnish the modak with saffron.
