Makhana Paneer Recipe in English:
Serve: 3
Preparation Time: 15 Minutes
Cooking Time: 20 Minutes
Ingredients:
Paneer: 150 gms
Makhana: 30 gms
Onion: 3 medium size
Garlic: 5 cloves
Ginger: 2 inch
Coriander Powder: 2tsp
Turmeric powder: 2tsp
Garam Masala 1/3rd tsp
Red chili powder: ½ tsp
Curd: 2tsp
Green Cardamom: 2
Bay leaf: 1
Salt:1/2 tsp
Oil: 6 tbsp
Kasuri Methi: ½ tsp
Water: 150 ml
Steps:
Roast Makhana in one tsp oil.
Grind onion, garlic, and ginger into a thick paste, avoid using water.
Heat a pan, add three tsp oil, add one bay leaf, and two cardamoms to it.
Add onion paste and fry it to 2-3 minutes
In a bowl, take 2 tsp curd, add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Add little water and make a thick paste.
Add this masala paste to the onion paste, add salt, and Kasuri methi. Fry all to 4-5 minutes at low to medium flame. Add 150 ml of water to the pan. Add makhana.
Take another pan and add 2tsp oil, shallow fry the paneer cubes and add to the gravy. Cook for 2 minutes. `turn off the flame and serve hot with chapati or rice.
